Urban Terrace
- The challenge
- The terrace faced direct afternoon sun with no shade, overlooked by neighbouring buildings, and had never been lived in. The brief was to create an outdoor room that felt like an extension of the home - a place to slow down at the end of the day.
- What we did
- We layered planting at different heights to create privacy and dappled shade, introduced warm wood and natural stone to soften the hard concrete, and selected species that thrive in Hyderabad's heat - tall grasses for movement, broad-leaf plants for calm, and fragrant herbs within reach of the seating.
- The result
- A calm outdoor room designed for everyday living - a place to breathe in the morning and unwind in the evening light.
The Calmer Office
- The challenge
- The office was productive but lifeless - clean lines, hard surfaces, and no connection to the outdoors. The team wanted a space that felt quieter and more human without losing its professional clarity.
- What we did
- We integrated greenery into the architecture itself - built-in planters that frame circulation, a living wall that softens the meeting area, and plant clusters that mark gathering points. Natural light was redirected with reflective surfaces, and warm materials replaced cold ones at human touch-points.
- The result
- A workplace that feels quieter, fresher and more alive - where people linger a little longer and focus comes a little easier.
Courtyard Sanctuary
- The challenge
- The courtyard was the heart of the property but nobody used it. Direct sun made it unbearable by mid-morning, and the hard surfaces amplified the heat rather than absorbing it.
- What we did
- We introduced layered tropical planting to filter light and create shade, a shallow reflecting pool to cool the air and slow the pace, and natural stone that stays cool underfoot. Seating was placed in the pockets of shade that shift through the day.
- The result
- A sanctuary guests move through and rest within - the most photographed space on the property.
Before is a condition. After is a possibility.
